Members were tasked with raising the ladders 14 inches with water cups on both rails, with the objective of not spilling the water and then the ladders had to be lowered back down to their resting positions. We achieved the 14in but we couldn’t stop there. FF Verdier, who was controlling the airbags, had to be able to crawl underneath. And if you know anything about FF Verdier...well.

Auto fire
Eng 43 & Chief 46 responded for a reported truck on fire. Crews arrived finding the fire out. Checked for hot spots.
As units were clearing the auto fire, a few hundred yards away at Tallow Hill Rd & Warm Spring Rd, a vehicle accident occured. The squad already on the street for the fire arrived finding 2 auto in the intersection. Everyone out of the vehicle. EMS evaluated the drivers while crews cleaned a fluid spill. Fire Police controlled traffic for crews and PSP.
Franklin Fire CompanyEng 43 w/3, Truck 42 w/3 & Asst Chief 48(Olson) arrived to a 2 story, single family, wood frame split-foyer with normal conditions. The engine crew found a fire burning in the clean-out. The truck crew confirmed the chimney was free & clear from debris and confirmed no extension. The burning creosote was removed from the residence and the fire box put back in place. Units cleared in 30mins.
Although hydrants are owned by water authorities and municipalities, much like sidewalks, they’re the homeowners responsibility to clear. We ask for 3’ on all sides be cleared as well as a path to the road.
