Feb 06, 2021 #2 — 1965 Silver Roosevelt Dime. Another mid-1960s transitional error, the 1965 silver Roosevelt dime is a rare and valuable piece with only a few known examples. Some examples have sold for $7,000. It’s easy to tell 1965 silver dime from a normal clad 1965 dime with use of a scale that can measure in increments of hundredths of a gram. Starting in 1965 the Mint removed all silver content from Roosevelt Dimes. Therefore, this was the second year in which they struck Clad Dimes. The Mint struck over a billion 1966 dimes, so they are very common in circulated grades and up to MS64 grade. MS65 grade coins are probably from rolls or coins that were pulled from circulation very early.
